Chasing Waterfalls in the Australian Tropics
Summer in Tropical North Queensland (October – March) is steamy, there’s no denying it, but we need to clear something up about the ‘wet season’. While it does sprinkle more than other times of the year it’s certainly not a continual downpour of torrential rains, but if it does, it’s good news. It means our waterfalls, creeks, springs and gorges will bask in all their gorgeous glory, giving you even more ways to cool off.
Take a short 20-minute trip from Port Douglas to Mossman Gorge, or travel up to the Atherton Tablelands – the highlands of TNQ – and explore the famous waterfall circuit while taking in the lush rolling hills, gourmet food, and plentiful wildlife along the way. Read on…👇
